Aire de pique-nique de Baignes-Ste-Radegonde
There are two picnic tables on site, sheltered by umbrella pines. At the end of the meal, you can go for a walk along the Pharaon river, which runs through the village, or along the Galope Chopine, a 27 km long greenway linking Baignes to Barbezieux.
Of course, it is highly recommended to visit the Saint-Etienne Abbey before leaving. Its origins date back to the 11th century. Legend has it that the church was destroyed by the Saracens and then rebuilt by Charlemagne.
Take a moment to admire the charming rose window on the west side of the abbey.
