Circuit de randonnée de la Vallée
Saint-Séverin
7 Lieu Dit le Colombier
16390 Saint-Séverin
Departure altitude: 55 m
Start your trip at the nautical stop along the Dronne river, a place where you can picnic, fish and embark canoes to Poltrot and Aubeterre. Along your walk in the Haut Dexmier you will discover elements of the small heritage of the commune and you will take height where you will be able to take advantage of it to contemplate pretty points of view.
Saint-Séverin also has a long tradition of paper mills, located on the Lizonne river:
- moulin de la Barde, some remains from the 17th century.
- moulin de l'Épine, paper mill built in 1838, then sawmill from 1987.
- moulin du Petit Marchais, built in 1837 on an old mill from the 16th century.
A 3,3 km link is possible to Poltrot by Petit Bersac.
[Attention, the ford to reach the water stop is passable by car in summer season but impassable in low season].
